Summary:

Responsible for the successful day to day operations of an upscale Salon and Spa. Maintaining a high-level of quality service to maximize guest experience. Assist with continued development of staff, services and products while implementing Spa operational goals, policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Overall responsibility of the day to day operations of a (7) day a week luxury Resort Salon & Spa
  • Provide exceptional guest service to all internal & external guests.
  • Leadership and management of staff, to include hiring, daily direction, discipline, scheduling, coaching, and terminating of staff.
  • Responsible for ordering, inventory, merchandising and daily sales operations of the Spa retail merchandise.
  • Implement unique guest experiences in services and ensure RCGR policies/procedures are followed, providing leadership, clear direction & assist Spa staff on a daily basis.  
  • Hold Quarterly “Huddles” to keep staff up to date on all aspects of operation.
  • Responsible for scheduling and reviewing service provider’s daily schedules.
  • Interact with team members to ensure development/implementation of quality services that meet RCGR guidelines. Monitor and review Spa employee’s performance regularly and provide required guidance.
  • Responsible for handling all customer challenges appropriately as needed.
  • Participate in all required trainings and implement practices taught
  • Responsible for maintaining personal service provider licensing and continued education as well as licensing review of Spa personnel.
  • Ensure all areas of the Spa are kept clean and well maintained at all times.
  • Group coordinator and department liaison.  Coordinate Monthly Specials/Social Media promotions with Marketing
  • Ensure all goals are met and all programs implemented successfully
  • Manage expenses based on budgeted guidelines and business volumes to include payroll and staffing levels.
  • Perform regular inventory of Spa and maintain and organize appropriate par level of supplies.

Required:

  • Strong working knowledge of Spa and Salon Products, Serivces and Training, equipment and POS processing
  • Minimum of two years prior Supervisory/Management experience in a full-service Spa or related industry     
  • Licensed by the State of Iowa Cosmetology Division or Iowa Board of Massage Therapy   
  • Must demonstrate excellent time management skills.

Schedule:

Full Time; To include Days, Evenings, Weekends & Holidays
