Summary:
The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the leadership, direction, and coordination of Shared Services Corporate Accounting staff, coordination of property and consolidated reporting, as well as providing recommendations for general policies and procedures for all site’s accounting departments. The position will maintain the standard financial reports in the financial reporting system and will be required to work with the other Finance teams to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiencies across the organization. The Corporate Accounting Manager will provide coordination during various audits, projects and analysis.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional guest service to all customers internal and external
- Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise
- Oversee areas of Corporate Finance including accounting, and accounts payable.
- Fulfill role of System Administrator for various system applications
- Provide support to Finance and Other Departments for all Elite companies
- Continuously maintain knowledge and understanding to ensure company accounting policies and procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles and are consistent with gaming laws, regulations, and internal controls where applicable.
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to the Director Corporate Finance
- Recommend and implement improvements to internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate and manage the month-end close process, planning and directing timely and accurate reporting of financial information including consolidation reporting and analysis.
- Reconciling and analysis of P&L and B/S accounts for various Elite companies
- Performs reviews of company financial information providing Q&A or comments as applicable.
- Reports budget concerns/deviations to the Director Corporate Finance.
- Coordinate/manage year-end audit and quarterly reviews; including work paper preparation.
- Leads annual financial and 401k audits.
- Coordinates annual insurance submission materials for renewal process
- In collaboration with Elite Executives, Finance Directors, and others, assists in coordination of the annual budgets for all Elite companies
- Recommend and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
- Evaluates team members and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance
- Provide staff with appropriate training and development for their continued development and success
- Maintain an open-door policy with all employees.
- Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling)
- Champion within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, responsible corporate behavior and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and Company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and Minimum
- 4 Years Accounting/Finance supervisory experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in applicable jurisdictions.
- A passion for mentoring and inspiring others to reach their full potential.
- Ability to prepare, understand, and analyze financial and business strategies, budget, and P&L Statements.
- Ability to use a personal computer and appropriate software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Microsoft Outlook) with a strong knowledge in Excel.
- Working knowledge of Great Plains financial software is desired.
- Proven leader with strong managerial, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment within established policies.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills.
- Ability to respond in a calm and decisive manner and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, employees, guests and vendors.
- Ability to supervise, prioritize, coordinate, direct and assign work.
- Ability to analyze, develop timelines, project resources, monitor and evaluate results.
- Ability to hire, motivate and maintain a viable work force.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a highly regulated business.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Schedule:
Full-time, Day Shift
Salary:
$75,000/yr - $100,000/yr DOE
