Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the processing of regular bi-weekly payroll for the company as well as compliance with all applicable reporting requirements.  

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure accurate and secure payroll processing
  • Makes tax payments and files reports in a timely manner
  • Assist with Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly filings
  • Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with all other department personnel, especially Human Resources.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries or earnings, taxes, deductions, and non-taxable wages
  • Maintains complete records of payroll paperwork and activities
  • Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn payroll tax rules and regulations.
  • Answering employees’ questions and concerns regarding payroll as well as issuing and delivering paystubs to employees
  • This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through one-year experience in payroll operations and a high school diploma
  • This position has access to sensitive salary information and files and therefore, the highest levels of integrity and honesty are essential.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one-year prior experience administering payroll or related office administration required
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
