Group Sales Manager

Summary:

Responsible for the effective and efficient management of group sales personnel and for building group business bookings for all outlets of the resort property. Success will be demonstrated through positive leadership of the Group Sales Team. Coaching, mentoring and growing the team to be proficient in sales, booking of events and understanding of all resort areas will ensure expected outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct group sales operations on a daily basis.
  • Establish & maintain procedures for creating new and maintaining existing group business.  
  • Responsible for knowing what the resort has to offer group business; must have knowledge of banquet menus, set-up arrangements, hotel room rates, occupancy and other resort amenities including but not limited to golf, spa, etc.
  • Produce and review all sales contracts, rate agreements and banquet/catering event orders while monitoring and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental polices and procedures.
  • Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections and off-site presentations for potential clients.
  • Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts.
  • Attend and represent resort at trade shows and conventions and participate in sales trips to key feeder markets.
  • Responsible for fast and efficient functionality and service.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service
  • Responsible for hiring, training and disciplinary action of department personnel
  • Maintain an “open door” policy
  • Assures an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication and teamwork with all departments
  • Responsible for the Motor Coach business including insurance compliance for motor coach groups, guest manifests, contracts, payouts, and meet and greet bus arrivals as needed.
  • Coordinate, direct and ensure successful execution of internal company events.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required:

  • TIPS certified
  • IvVy knowledge preferred

Days, Swing, Weekends

Salary:

$62,000 - $70,000/yr (Salary + Commission)
