The effective and efficient running of each of our departments is dependent upon having supervisors and managers that have good leadership, communication and operational skills. The Event services team is dedicated to guest service and hospitality. Our commitment, is to provide and produce the highest quality guest services and event planning in the Midwest casino resort industry. Management, Coordinator and Technician positions are responsible for booking, producing and evaluating national, regional, and local entertainment opportunities.
Group Sales & Motor Coach (buses)
Management and Coordinator positions are responsible for booking and selling property amenities and throughout the resort.
Facilities are responsible for the cleanliness, routine maintenance and repair of all the buildings and grounds. We accomplish these tasks in house using our own employees. This ensures stable and consistent training and employment opportunities.
EVS Team Member
Clean restrooms, dump ash trays, pick up cups, clean slot machines, entrances, vacuum carpets, clean in Retail outlets, parking lot trash, clean out buildings - Golf Maint, PGA, Blue Top Ridge. Project work - clean carpets, floors, chairs, shower scrub restrooms, shower scrub all tile floors including kitchen.
Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for preventive maintenance on several hundred pieces of equipment throughout the facility, from heat pumps in the hotel, kitchen equipment, and laundry equipment. Also responsible for repair and painting walls, plumbing throughout the facility, carpentry, electrical, and indoor/outdoor pools.
We deep clean rooms and touch up paint. We do other projects which include building walls and fixing dry wall when needed.
Receiving ships outgoing packages as well as inspecting, sorting, and delivering incoming product for the resort. Receiving also manages the warehouse by efficiently using space to maximize the amount of goods in storage
Finance department encompasses Cage, Count, Revenue Audit, Accounting and Purchasing functions. Cage Cashiers handle financial transactions for casino guests, while the accounting personnel are responsible for reconciling all resort transactions, preparing financial statements, paying invoices and taxes, and buying products for the organization.
The Cage Cashier is responsible for providing a variety of services for our guests such as check cashing, cash advances, redeeming slot vouchers, cashing in table chips and currency exchanges. The individual must be accurate while performing these services for our guests.
Count Team members are responsible for accurately counting and recording money from table games, slot machines and department outlets. Individuals must be able to operate currency counters and other computer equipment correctly to ensure accuracy in the reports that are generated.
Revenue Auditor is responsible for performing daily revenue audits, working with various excel spreadsheets and investigating variances. The individual must be proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Word and Excel. Attention to detail is important in performing these tasks.
The Food and Beverage team is dedicated to guest service and hospitality. Our commitment is to provide and produce the highest quality guest services and products in the Midwest casino resort food and beverage industry. We offer a large culinary brigade of Chefs. Our Executive Chef is responsible for all food production from food outlets property wide. Chef de Cuisines, are outlet specific and include Robert's Buffet, Ripple casual a 'la carte, Ruthie's fine dining and Banquets. Sous Chefs are shift specific in all restaurants. Executive Dishwasher heads the dishwashing department and monitors cleanliness throughout the kitchen areas.
We offer multiple levels of cooks in multiple venues. Cook III's are advanced cooks who work unassisted. Cook II's are intermediate cooks who need some assistance from time to time. Cook I's are entry level cooks. Other positions include Bakers, Prep Pantry and Dishwashing.
Covers all bars on the casino floor including sit-down lounges, service bar, VIP lounge, Ruthie's fine dining and Ripple casual a 'la carte restaurant.
We offer a wide variety of restaurant and cocktail serving to include Ruthie's fine dining, Ripple Diner, Robert's Buffet, Banquets, and beverage service on the casino floor.
Blue Top Ridge at Riverside, a Rees Jones designed golf course, is Iowa's premier golf facility. We strive for the best in course conditioning and exceeding the expectations of our guests. Golf course staff helps to provide an exceptional golf experience from the maintenance of immaculate grounds to providing excellent instructional golf lessons, and providing excellent service at every turn.
Golf Operations Host
Responsible for cleanliness and safe parking of golf cars and retrieval of guest's equipment. Maintains a clean and organized cart storage building. Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures.
Pro Shop Host
Serve as a Host in our Golf Retail shop. Greet and encourage purchases of merchandise, answering questions, assisting guests with tee-time reservations, booking lessons and coordinate the daily golf schedule.
Golf Course Attendant
Greets guests upon their arrival/departure. Assists guests in staging areas, aids in selecting the proper tee to be played. Providing assistance to anyone requiring it while acting in a professional manner at all times. Operates and maintains cleanliness of golf carts.
Assistant Golf Pro Supervisor
Provide exceptional guest service to all customers. Manage and coordinate the golf schedule along with daily play. Partner effectively with other departments to ensure flawless execution of guest events. Assist in creating and managing the merchandise plan.
Assistant Golf Pro Manager
Serve as an assistant to the PGA Head Golf Professional in the management of the golf operations, including the personnel responsible for providing first class service. Manage and coordinate the golf schedule along with daily play. Leadership and management of staff, to include hiring, scheduling, coaching, and managing performance. Partner effectively with other departments to ensure flawless execution of guest events.

Attend to all pool area needs including but not limited to: taking & delivering food & drink orders, organizing pool furniture, picking up trash, managing towels, helping guests with their needs, answering guest questions, managing all games located in the pool area, help maintain all pool rules.
Overall maintenance of world-class golf course to include using various types of mowing equipment, sand bunker maintenance, and landscape projects and upkeep. It is a very rewarding and fast paced position.

Front Desk Guest Service
Outgoing, friendly representatives that desire to create a memorable guest experience from check in to check out. Communicators of entire resort services and promotions who handle incoming calls and reservation requests in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
The Human Resources department is responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the company's employment related practices, to include recruiting, benefits, employee relations/employment law, performance management, training, and wellness programs.
Responsible for the day to day administration within the HR department, including new hire processing, facilitating new hire orientation and managing the employee information system to include data entry and reports and creation and upkeep of all employee files.
Responsible for day to day administration of the recruiting processes, with the overall purpose of enabling quality and timely hiring to meet the company's staffing needs.
Benefits and Safety Administrator
Responsible for the company's overall benefits and safety administration, to include: health plan, supplemental health/welfare plans, 401(k) plan, workers compensation, FMLA, and all employee safety programs and training to maintain OSHA compliance and to manage our workers compensation costs.
Responsible for the training of supervisors, managers and staff by developing and implementing a curriculum based on company needs. Successfully teach/facilitate a variety of topics to both management and front-line staff.
HR Business Partner
Responsible for ensuring the organization has an engaged work environment that adheres to all applicable employment laws at all times through effective coaching/education of management, and prompt review and resolution of employee concerns.
The Marketing Department consists of the Resort Club, Promotions, Social Media and Advertising. The Resort Club simply put is our Guest Service department. They create Resort Club accounts, assist guests with incentives and special promotions. Our Advertising Department handles everything from creating television spots, newspaper ads, billboards, direct mail, online advertising . . . just to name a few examples.
Design advertising for both internal and external media including online advertising, newspaper, magazines, and more.
Resort Club Host
Greet new and current Resort Club members while explaining the many benefits of our Resort Club card and Resort promotions.
The Host department is always available to provide and cater to our guests needs. We forge lasting relationships with our patron's, and exceed their expectations. Hosts are also responsible for running and planning VIP events, and making sure that each visit is a memorable one.
Responsible for providing our VIP guests with first class service and amenities. Hosts will be required to develop and track recurring patrons and build client base by personal interaction and utilizing player reports.
Travel Club Host
The Elite Travel Host will be responsible for staffing the "Travel Center", assisting in promotions, signing up new travel club patrons, trip planning, and at times, traveling as a host. The Travel Host will assist in the implementation of the Elite Travel Club program, work closely with the ETC Marketing Admin and ETC Manager to build client loyalty by maximizing utilization of the Travel Club program to our guests, and be available to assist guests in signing up for Elite Travel Club trips, attending events, checking travel dollar balances, and participating in promotions.

Security Officer is an entry level security position that assists guests and employees while enforcing gaming rules/regulations. All training provided.
The Slot Department is a 24/7 operation with a focus on guest service and teamwork. Regular responsibilities include, but are not limited to, paying jackpot winners, assisting with downloading of promotional money onto slot machines, answering questions related to machine payouts, getting change for customers and Slot machine maintenance.
A Slot Attendant's routine responsibilities are interacting with guests, processing and paying jackpots, getting change for guests, assisting with downloading of promotional money, minor slot machine repairs, replenishing slot machine printers with tickets, stocking machines with extra tickets and assisting with questions about slot machine payouts.
A Slot Tech's responsibilities are centered on keeping Slot machines operational. Basic repairs are swapping out parts and basic troubleshooting, with the more advanced repairs going down to component level, advanced troubleshooting and repairs. Slot Techs also perform the similar duties as a Slot Attendant.

Cosmetologists provide excellent guest service in grooming, hairstyling cuts, color, scalp and facial treatments, manicures, pedicures, body treatments and makeup analysis.
Massage Therapist provides spa guests with the most current massage treatments and techniques available, while ensuring a comfortable and relaxing spa experience.
Nail Technicians maximize service skills while exceeding guest expectations, in providing current manicure/ pedicure services within an Aveda Environmental Lifestyle Salon and Spa.
Spa Client Coordinator assists in creating lasting and favorable memories by providing a positive guest experience at every point of contact from scheduling services, product sales, and facility tours.
Responsible for observing employees and guests to detect criminal activity, insure compliance with company policies, IRGC rules, internal controls, and other government laws.
Responsible for reporting violations or suspected violations to the appropriate regulators. Learning or having knowledge of casino operations and casino gaming is necessary to be competent in this department. Testing will be conducted to insure competency.
This is where the live action is! Everything from craps to poker, our dealers interact and entertain our guests with exciting gaming experiences. We do offer free classes to get you started in this exciting career. This department offers growth opportunities in a fun and exciting environment.
Dealer should be trained on how to deal the different games. If you have never dealt before we offer a free training class for each game. A dealer will need to have basic math skills, ability to follow and enforce rules of the game, along with knowing and following company policies and procedures. Most importantly they must provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers. Dealers must be able to work weekends and holidays on any shift.
Maintains security of games, ensures all rules are adhered to, and resolves guest issues as needed.

Valet Attendant/Shuttle Driver
Valet attendants warmly provide initial greeting to all resort guests, efficiently and enthusiastically assist in valet parking, shuttle services, luggage or club handling and accommodate those requiring special assistance with the highest level of customer care.
Employment for Persons Under the Age of 21
While the legal age to gamble in Iowa is 21, persons aged 18-20 are permitted to work in positions that involve gaming and being on the gaming floor. This includes Dealers, Slot Attendants/Slot Technicians, Security, Bartenders, Cage Cashiers, VIP Hosts and Environmental Services. Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to work on or access the gaming floor at any time. However, we do have a number of positions in which those 16-17 years of age are permitted to work. These positions include Restaurant Servers, Host/Cashiers, Table Bussers, Hotel Front Desk & Housekeeping, Valet Attendants, Resort Club Hosts and a variety of positions with our Golf Course.

Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Occupational Licensing
All persons employed in any capacity within a state licensed casino in Iowa are required to obtain an occupational license from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission. A license is valid for three calendar years. All licenses are temporary until the completion of required background investigations. The Commission reviews each license application against their licensing standards. There are a number of reasons in which an applicant may be denied a license, but in general a license may be denied if, within the last 5 years, an applicant has had:
• A felony conviction;
• A conviction for an offense involving theft or fraudulent practice in excess of $500;
• A conviction for an offense involving the use of an alias in connection with fraud;
• A conviction for an offense involving ownership, operation or interest in any bookmaking or other illegal enterprise.
If the conviction occurred more than five years before the application, a license shall not be issued unless the commission representative determines that sufficient evidence of rehabilitation exists.
In addition, unless sufficient evidence of rehabilitation exists, a license shall be denied if an applicant has:
• A conviction of a serious or aggravated misdemeanor or the equivalent;
• Multiple convictions of simple misdemeanors
The above does not constitute an all-inclusive list of reasons why a license shall be denied, but rather intended to serve as a reference of some of the most common reasons for license denials.
