Mark Lindsay: Former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders
Saturday, April 24, 2010, 7pm & 10pm
Mark Lindsay is the former lead singer and co-founder of Paul Revere & the Raiders, and the voice on 17 Top 40 hits including “Indian Reservation”, “Arizona”, “Kicks” and “Hungry”, from the group's inception through 1975 and during a solo career as well. When you flipped on the TV in the 60s, his face was on the screen before you knew it. If you tuned into the radio, it wasn't long before you heard his voice coming over the airwaves. If a concert tour was coming to your town, chances are that it included Paul Revere & the Raiders, the group which featured Mark Lindsay as co-founder, lead singer, and sax player. And if you picked up a teen magazine, it was only a question of how many pages were devoted to Mark's pictures and articles. He was everywhere, it seemed, but as his publicist Derek Taylor stated at that time, "Mark Lindsay is the ultimate in the unattainable."
Mark Lindsay has led a pretty interesting life, to say the least. He's been on more than 700 network TV shows, has owned a restaurant, and has had radio shows in Portland, Oregon on Entercom's heritage station KISN as well as on CBS Radio's KHITS. And he's not done yet!.
